North Science Class
Science Lab

From examining a turtle shell with a magnifying glass to building a contraption to keep an egg safe when traveling down a ramp, you never know what you're going to see in the science lab at one of our elementary schools. As part of Related Arts, our elementary students attend science class weekly where they participate in hands-on activities and engaging lessons.

Academic & Behavior Interventionists

The role of the behavior interventionist is to help students with emotional regulation, coping skills and executive functioning skills. Academic interventionists help identify students who may be struggling academically.

Dynamic Shelving

We all know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but, let’s face it, we all do. That’s one of many reasons why the librarians in the Ozark School District buildings have changed the way they shelve and display books — so that students will see a book cover they like, and check it out.

Judge Ward at South

Ask a South Elementary third grader what the three branches of government are, and chances are they’ll not only be able to tell you, but they can give you real-world examples. That’s because during the month of September, students learned about the state of Missouri, including the history, the Constitution, how the government is run, and how it functions with checks and balances.

Constitution Day

On Sept. 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the U.S. Constitution. Since then, the Constitution has served as the supreme law of the land. The Constitution, along with the Bill of Rights and other amendments, define our government and guarantee our rights. Each year on Sept. 17, Americans celebrate Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. Ozark Schools uses Constitution Day as a time to reflect on the rights and responsibilities of citizenship and what it means to be a U.S. citizen.
